In plastic injection molding, proportional valves (also known as mixing valves) are pieces of equipment that automatically mix two different materials (for example: virgin resin + regrind or virgin resin + masterbatch) in specific, predetermined ratios. This mixture is then fed into the injection machine's hopper.
